Having only relaunched in June, the Women's section was delighted to field two different teams and in doing so giving 5 further debuts to players.
With the sides mixed, one team took on Binfield on the bottom oval. The first time Wokingham Women's Cricket has been played on the oval since 2016. They faced a strong side where despite scoring 105 they saw in reply 140 runs scored against. Regardless a good experience to get more playing time before the season closes.
Meanwhile, the other Wokingham side took on Emmbrook & Bearwood on the top oval. They were able to record the section's second win since reforming. Scoring an impressive 129 for the loss of only 1 wicket and then restricting their opposition to 106.
The growing section over 25 players has one more fixture against Boyne Hill away on Thursday before looking ahead to the Winter. A delightful thing to think given how recently it relaunched.
