The 1s (155/10) lose to High Wycombe 1s (160/1). Wokingham once again struggled with the bat however resistance came from the ever reliable Sukhi Kang (47) and Imran Malik (31). High Wycombe made light work of the chase taking a 9 wicket victory.
The 2s (176/7) won a tight game at Binfield 1s (173/9). Call up Cam Prentice made an immediate impression with a display of tight seam bowling (10-3-22-3) and was aided by all bowlers with Jarrett Bobb (9-3-24-2) leading the spinners. Binfield finished their allotted 52 overs on 173/9. There was a 'wobble' but Michael Cowdell stood up when it counted to score a fine 94 off 103 balls to set Wokingham up for a win.
The 3s (225/9) lose a tight game to Finchampstead 3s (228/8). Put into bat, Priyen Prakash (62) and Charlie Carter (53) made Finchampstead question whether fielding first was the right option as the two put on a 117 run opening stand. However, they did claw it back especially in the middle overs to see Wokingham finish on 225 off their 52. Nick Murdoch (7-1-22-2) and Matthew McDonald (7-0-31-0) bowled a tight opening spell. Both sides chased the win with Hugh Doyle (12-1-67-3) and John McDonald (13-0-61-2) taking wickets but Finchampstead chased the total down with 11 balls left.
The 4s (139/10) travelled to defeat at Falkland 3s (140/2). Struggling with the bat, All Rounder Jamie Cable top scored with 30 to set 139. Whilst Martin Wilson (7-0-23-1) and Andy McGrenaghan (4-1-19-1) tried their best Falkland chased it 2 wickets down.
The 5s (83/10) had a very long trip to nowhere near Slough to lose to Slough 5s (185/10). Bowling first Arvind Bhat (9-1-26-4) and Sabya Sen (8.4-1-31-3) made Slough work hard to reach 185 ao. Unfortunately, the batters could not chase the total with Ben Jarvis top scoring with 18.
The 6s (204/8) held their heads high in a loss to Purley on Thames 3s (207/7). Both Jason Stotesbury and Om Gore scored dead on 50s as they set an impressive 204 off their 40. It could have gone either way however unfortunately it went Purley's way. Credit to Wasim Amin (5-0-38-2) and young Thomas Ballantine (5.5-0-19-2) for resisting where possible.
The midweek league campaigns ended in unusual fashion. Needing 2 to win the league, the M1s saw a catch drop, a run scampered and thereby a tie to see the title travel elsewhere. Meanwhile, the M2s won convincingly at West Reading to end a league campaign mared by a mismatched division in terms of strength.
