Read our summary of how the Oaks got on this past week

The 1s lost a match that ebbed and flow throughout. Hosting Wargrave 1s their opposition were 16-6 thanks to Andy Rishton (13-1-61-5). However a comeback from Wargrave saw them finish 250 AO. Hanson Martin on debut posted 26 opening up. However, wickets fell with resistance from Shaan Khan (33), Imran Malik (53) and Salman Khalid (36). A draw was in sight but late wickets saw Wokingham bowled out 43 runs short in a lost match.

The 2s had a tough day at Kidmore End. Bowling first only one opposition player got past 30, however he got 106. All bowlers bowled tight lines with control especially coming from the spin of Muddassar Nawaz and Paul Dewick. But Kidmore ended up on 206. The chase never kicked into gear and despite 24* from Sean Bendall and 21 from Mac Dsouza the 2s were bowled out 102 runs short of their target.

The 3s hosted Royal Ascot 1s. Winning the toss and batting on a track with few demons there were starts for Amaad Ali (25) and Priyen Prakash (25) and Arnav Kulkarni top scored with 54. However, only he converted and despite a late Andy McGrenaghan cameo (23) they finished 203/9 off their 52 overs. The bowlers struggled to make inroads and whilst Jamie Cable (7-0-39-2) took 2 wickets Ascot reached their target with 8 wickets to spare.

In the reverse fixture the 4s travelled to play Royal Ascot 2s. Batting first there was concern at 46-2. However, Charlie Mulford (75) and Akshay Dhanda (103) put on 153 runs together for the third wicket partnership. Toby Barker whacked 41 off 25 balls to take the 4s to 267 off 45. Every bowler took a wicket but the pick was Alex O'Keefe's pace (7-0-28-3) which saw Wokingham win by a massive 175 runs.

We had another club doubleheader, with the 5s travelling to take on Bradfield 1s and the 6s hosting Bradfield 2s. In the former, the opposition posted 268/5. Of 8 bowlers used, Jitto Joseph (8-1-34-1) was the pick. In reply there was 40 from Max Dunmow and Noah Buttler-Willis, Ishaan Kulkarni and Deandre Gumbs all made 20s but ultimately the 5s were bowled out for 153.

The 6s meanwhile had a great day across the road. They were able to bowl Bradfield out for 108 in large part due to U15 Thomas Ballantine's 5-1-10-5 which blew them away. Whilst there was a slight wobble Wokingham chased it down 6 down. Top scores came from Owen Barnardo (26) and Ismaaeel Akram (27).

Earlier in the week, the Midweek 2s won their Plate Semi Final versus Reading Lions. Chinmay Kulkarni scored 66 at the top of the order and Arnav Kulkarni (40) and Priyen Prakash (25) scored runs at 100+ strike rates to set a mammoth 204/4. Reading never threatened with the bowling attack led by Ethan Tatum (4-1-18-4) being too much for them.

On the same evening, our Women had their first softball match versus Crowthorne & Crown Wood. Kirsty Ross (12) and Rashmi Singh (18) hit the most runs with the format seeing Wokingham score 91 off their 16 overs but with 9 wickets finishing on 246. In reply, Crowthorne scored less runs (78) but only lost 4 wickets with Hannah Murphy bowling three and Jo Rudd taking one. This meant they finished on a better net score of 258 winning by 12 runs.
