Location: Wokingham Cricket Club, Sadlers End, Sindlesham, RG41 5AW
Hours: 21 hours per week (Tuesday / Thursday / Saturday) plus additional / occasional ad hoc hours)
Contract: Part-time

Are you passionate about great food and community spirit? Wokingham Cricket Club is looking for an enthusiastic Chef to take charge of our kitchen and deliver delicious, hearty meals for players, members, and visitors.

What You’ll Do:
●Prepare and serve fresh, high-quality meals and snacks.
●Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organised workstation throughout service.
●Ensuring all food preparation areas meet required health and safety standards.
●Cleaning and sanitising surfaces, equipment, and utensils before, during, and after use.
●Monitoring stock rotation and ensuring proper storage to prevent waste and contamination.
●Supporting the smooth running of the kitchen by keeping floors, counters, and prep areas clear and hazard‑free.
●Assisting with deep‑cleaning tasks as required, including ovens, fridges, and extraction systems.
●Disposing of waste correctly and promptly to maintain a tidy working environment.
●Help plan / suggest menus for match days, functions, and club events with club manager.
●Keep organised and up to date paperwork in accordance with regulations.
●Work closely with club staff to ensure smooth operations of events and functions both inside and outside of the kitchen.

We’re Looking For:
●Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment.
●Food hygiene certification (Level 3 or above preferred).
●A friendly, reliable, and positive attitude.
●Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
