2023 Captains

Ahead of our first fixtures this weekend we are delighted to announce our captaincy appointments for the 2023 season.

Headed by Shaan Khan as our new 1st XI Captain, we would like to congratulate all on their appointments. We also want to thank former captains Dan Housego, Jon Barker, Toqir Khalid and Dersh Patel for their service to their respective teams and the wider club.

Wokingham Cricket Club Membership is now open for the 2023 season

The membership comes with many benefits as we head into the outdoor season. As a member you gain access to some of the best cricketing infrastructure in the region. This includes: two quality cricket ovals; six outdoor astroturf net lanes and coaching from leading coaches in the country.

The club caters for both senior and junior players, creating a pathway from first learning the game to representing the First XI in the top division of amateur cricket. With a superb clubhouse with bar, kitchen and large indoor/outdoor spaces it’s a perfect environment for families.

Senior players meanwhile can join the club and know they will be able to play at whatever level/type they would like. With seven Saturday league sides, one Sunday league side and two midweek league sides there’s plenty of playing opportunities. And where there’s cricket to be played, there’s a great social environment off it with regular events throughout the season.

The club has a rich history dating back to 1825 full of triumphs and progress. As we head towards our 200th anniversary in 2025 it’s a perfect time to join (or rejoin) our ranks to we continue the success of Wokingham’s Cricket Club.

If you’re ready to join this success, sign up for membership. All the details on how to do so and other key information you’ll find at the link below:
